I get this question a lot from our team. It is an easy answer and can be fun too.
If you have a garage you can do this during bad weather. If not than you may get a little cold at times.
Take an old blanket, or tarp or something like that and hang it from the ceiling in the garage ( may need your Dad to help the first time to make a hanging bar or something).
You can always hang the blanket or piece of old carpet over a limb in a tree or over the fence in your back yard. The heavy blanket or old carpet will stop the balls and you can throw them as hard as you want, it won’t care.
If you are on a hard surface the balls will usually roll back towards you. You can also fix the bottom so they collect there.
The old blanket gives you a large target so you don’t have to worry too much about accuracy until you get the hang of it. My daughter and I do this in our garage for her to practice her pitches when we can’t make it to a facility or a field. She can work on arm circle drills and power drills without blistering up her old Dad’s hand. Hope this helps.
i used to go to the park and throw the ball in old tires or knots in a tree. only suckish part was having to go get it.
find a chain link fence, and throw the balls against the fence. they will bounce off the fence, and roll right back to you.
Trying going to a sporting goods store and purchase one of those "bounce nets."
They are used for individual practice & will bounce the ball back to you.
Here is a link…
just throw into a fence or wall so it bounces back draw a strikezone on a wall with chalk
Pitcher
Use a brick or concrete wall
Mark off a good strike zone on the wall in chalk (so you won’t go to jail)
and Back off and fire away.
Infield
Same Idea throw to wall and try to hit target, pick up ball on the move and throw to target
exactly what malyssa said or4 just get a huge bucket of balls and when u run out go get them helps exercise too lol
Get a bucket of balls and throw it at a target. When the bucket is finished, pick the balls up and repeat
throw into a backstop or a wall. what i do is take a tennis ball or rubber ball and throw it of the wall and have it bounce back to you, so you can throw inside also.
you should trade your sister.
-you could use a net and pick a target on the net and throw it continuously
-you could use a squishy softball and throw it at a wall/park wall and let it bounce back to you
-you could use a pitching machine and adjust it to where it makes good throws to you
-you could find another person to throw with you
