My little brother is playing little league baseball on a team of 11. He is in fifth grade and playing with fifth and sixth graders. Tonight was his first real game. He played three innings of right field, and never got the ball once. Why, may you ask. Because his coach decided that there were better kids on the team then him, and so it was perfectly fine to let the six infielders play the whole game, but make the five, slightly less gifted, outfielders play only every other inning in the outfield.
Tonight my brother came home in tears.
